How a Couple Shortlists a Portugal Venue in Days, Not Months

Step one: write the brief, not the search

Start by defining the wedding, not by opening listing sites. Guest count, budget ceiling, season, region leaning, and the feel you want are enough to match against. With EverVows this is a two-minute quiz — the input Mafalda uses to match venues, so the more specific you are, the sharper the shortlist.

Step two: hand it to someone who knows the venues

Matching beats searching. Instead of emailing 30 venues and waiting, your brief goes to Mafalda, who has visited 40-plus Portuguese venues and knows how each one actually operates. She selects the ones that genuinely fit and sends them with what each includes, what it bills separately, and the specific reason the others were ruled out.

The shortlist is not a search-engine dump — it is a curated set, checked against your brief line by line, that she can speak to in detail on your call.

Step three: review on a one-to-one call

A shortlist is only useful if you can interrogate it. It comes with a one-to-one call with Mafalda to walk through each venue, what it would cost to run at your guest count, and the questions a website cannot answer. You leave the call able to decide, not still guessing.

What if the shortlist misses?

You are not stuck. If the first round does not land, Mafalda re-matches; if venues that fit your brief do not exist, she says so rather than padding the list. Even a re-match costs days, not the months a self-led search would take.
