How Much Does a Bali Wedding Planner Cost in 2026?
Last updated 23 Oct 2026
The short answer
As of 23 October 2026, Bali planners who publish their fees charge from about US$1,200 to US$8,000 for full planning: smaller weddings sit at the bottom of that range, bigger and more complex ones at the top. The one planner we found publishing a day-of rate charges US$500–1,500. Every planner we checked charges a flat fee, not a percentage.
Published Bali wedding planner costs, compared
We looked at the Bali planners who publish their fees online. We've anonymised them: this is about price, not a ranking. Each figure comes from the planner's own website, checked on 23 Oct 2026.
| Planner | Published fee | Guest band | What's included (per the planner) | Source, checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Planner A | From US$1,200, full planning | Under 30 guests | Dedicated planner, budget analysis, venue and vendor coordination, RSVP management, wedding-day coordination | Planner's own site, checked 23 Oct 2026 |
| Planner B | US$2,000 (0–30 guests), US$2,200 (31–60), US$2,400 (61–100), rising for bigger weddings | By guest count | Planning team, unlimited planning support, timeline, vendor coordination, on-the-day management. Paid in rupiah at the planner's own exchange rate. Prices net, including tax and service | Planner's own site, checked 23 Oct 2026 |
| Planner C | From US$2,500, scaled to the scope of the wedding | Any | Venue and vendor sourcing, styling, timelines, logistics, day coordination. Vendors billed at their actual rates with itemised quotes. A 50-guest villa wedding from about US$13,500 all-in | Planner's own site, checked 23 Oct 2026 |
| Planner D | US$3,000–8,000 full planning. Day-of coordination US$500–1,500 | Any | Full planning from scratch at the top of the range; taking over a part-planned wedding costs less | Planner's own site, checked 23 Oct 2026 |

Three fee models, and who profits from what
- A flat fee by guest count or scope. This is what every planner above publishes. The planner earns the same whichever vendors you pick, which is the cleanest incentive. Planner D says its fee follows the size of the day and the number of vendors, not your total budget.
- A percentage of the budget. The planner earns more when you spend more. We didn't find a Bali planner publishing this model on 23 Oct 2026, so we can't give you a figure. If a planner offers it, ask what the percentage applies to: venue? rooms? everything?
- A package with mark-up. You get one bundled price for the venue, decor, photographer and so on, and the planner's margin sits inside it. It's simple to buy but hard to compare. Ask for an itemised quote: Planner C says it bills vendors at their actual rates with itemised quotes, which is the opposite approach.
Full planning vs partial vs on-the-day coordination
- Full planning means everything from finding a venue to the last guest leaving. The published range is US$1,200–8,000 (table above).
- Partial planning is for when you've booked some things already. Planner D says taking over a part-planned wedding sits lower in its range. Nobody we checked publishes a separate partial-planning figure.
- Day-of coordination is published at US$500–1,500 by Planner D. The work starts 4–6 weeks before the day. It only works if your venue and main suppliers are already locked in.
What a planner fee does not include
The planner fee is a small part of the total. You'll still pay for:
- The venue, and in Bali that's often the biggest line.
- "++" pricing: many hotel and venue prices are quoted before about 21% in tax and service.
- Vendors: the photographer, florist, catering and music.
- Local fees, such as banjar (village) fees at some venues.
Our real Bali budget breakdown covers all of it.
For a sense of scale, Planner C's own guide puts a 50-guest private-villa wedding at about US$13,500 including its US$2,500 fee. On that example, the fee is under a fifth of the total.
Questions to ask a Bali planner before you pay a deposit
- Deposit: how much is it, when is it due, and what's refundable if you cancel or move the date?
- Currency: are you paying in USD, AUD or rupiah? If it's rupiah, whose exchange rate applies? (Planner B, for example, converts at its own bookkeeping rate, which can change.)
- Net or "++"? Are the prices final, or do tax and service come on top?
- Commissions: do you take commission from vendors or venues? Will you show me vendor invoices?
- The day itself: who is actually on site, and how many crew?
- Legal paperwork: is it included? (See Bali wedding laws 2026.)

FAQ
How much does a wedding planner cost in Bali?
Published full-planning fees run from about US$1,200 (under 30 guests) to US$8,000, as of 23 Oct 2026. The one published day-of rate we found is US$500–1,500.
Is a Bali wedding planner worth it?
For couples planning from abroad, usually yes. The planner's local vendor knowledge, rupiah contracts and someone on site matter more than the fee. On one published example, the fee is under a fifth of a US$13,500 villa wedding.
Do Bali planners charge a percentage of the budget?
The planners we checked publish flat fees, scaled by guest count or scope, not a percentage. If one quotes a percentage, ask exactly what it applies to.
What's the difference between a Bali wedding package and a planner?
A package bundles the venue and vendors into one price, with the margin inside. A planner charges a separate fee and books vendors for you, ideally at itemised, actual rates.
What does day-of coordination cost in Bali?
About US$500–1,500 at the one planner we found that publishes it. The work starts 4–6 weeks before the wedding.
